Every summer, Offbeat Travel brings together a dynamic group of program leaders for a weeklong immersive training—living, learning, and growing as a team. This year, a moment during our public speaking session reminded me why we do this work. One new staff member, nervous and unsure about presenting in English, nearly backed out. But when they finally stood up, they delivered a powerful, confident talk that left the room buzzing with support. Their peers rallied around them, cheering them on and affirming their voice. It was a beautiful reminder: growth happens not in isolation, but in community
